Hello, my name is Steve Eastwood. I come from a family of wood workers, that started with my late grandfather. He created gorgeous pieces, meticulous in detail that were both functional in design, yet pieces of art.
He passed his skills on to my Dad, and the two of them spent many nights and weekends coming up with new ideas and bringing them to life. Because they were loggers by trade, you could say that "working with wood" was in their blood.
I learned the basic skills from both my Grandfather and my Dad, and working in the woods with my Dad as a logger for many years, we had the opportunity to share ideas and create new items, while I honed my skills under his watchful eye.
To this day, at age 85, my Father continues to work in his shop making beautiful pieces and coming up with some innovative designs. It brings tears to my eyes when I think about all of the amazing pieces they created together.
I learned so much from these great men in my life and their teachings and creativity sparked my own work, inspiring me to build upon their influence, continue the family legacy by creating both functional items for the home, as well as pieces of art that can be enjoyed for generations to come.
I currently work as a general contractor, and do wood working on the side with my new company NW Epoxy Art. My goal is to create new projects or help you design and create something custom made just for you.
